Small planes with turbine engines are always interesting to see (and listen to!) This one-of-a-kind project is Scott Ehni’s custom Zenith CH701 airplane (that he scratch-built from plans) powered by a lightweight Garrett turboshaft engine, putting out at least 90 BHP. The small APU will work on almost any liquid that will burn. The best off-airport fuel choice is a mix of diesel and unleaded regular gas as it burns a bit cleaner, making it a viable alternative engine in areas where Avgas is unavailable (but where diesel fuel is readily available), including many areas in remote Africa.
