According to the FAA Aerospace Forecast from March, Light Sport Aircraft is expected to grow 6 times more than general aviation through 2013.

“On the general aviation front, the demand for products and services will continue to grow, particularly in new business jets and light sport aircraft.”
“Lastly, the light sport aircraft category is expected to see an increase in hours flown of 3.5 percent a year”
“…compared with essentially no growth (0.03 percent) for piston-powered aircraft.”

California Power Systems still has space available for Rotax training in May. Our training facility is located at the Chino Airport (CNO) in Chino California. If you own a Rotax engine and want to do your own maintenance you need to consider attending these courses. I am an A&P and have been an aircraft mechanic for 20 years, Rotax engines are unlike any other engine out there and proper training is necessary to maintain them.

With over 40,000 912 series engines produced it’s obvious these engines will continue to be the leader in Light Sport Aviation. If you’re a professional mechanic you should consider getting the necessary training and start taking advantage of one of the only growing areas in aviation.
